The Heart of an Advocate
February 28, 2017
As a foster parent you have a critical role to play in the life of a child. Not only are you responsible for the child's day-to-day care, but because you spend so much time caring for and observing them, you are able to provide the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), the court, and other key stakeholders with valuable information that is needed to make important decisions regarding the child’s welfare. It is important for the sake of the children in your home that you know how to advocate for yourself on important issues that impact their lives and yours. This webinar will empower you with insight and tips on how to be an effective advocate for yourself and your children.
