You will also learn about how children enter foster care, laws that guide the Foster Care and Adoption programs and services that support children in care and Foster, Adoptive and Kinship families. This session will also provide helpful guidance on forming a successful partnership with the Division of Family and Children Services or one of our contracted Child Placing Agencies.

February 18, 2023U.S. Surgeon General declared a national youth mental health crisis in December 2021. Suicide is the first leading cause of death for youth ages 10-15 and the second leading cause of death for individuals 10-24. It is timely and critical to gain a greater understanding around youth suicide, explore ways to prevent this increase in youth suicide and identify resources that support youth suicide prevention.
