What’s an Information Session

dfcs-0310The Information Session is mandatory for all potential kinship, foster and adoptive families. Families approved by other states are also required to have the fundamental information needed to consider fostering or adopting in this state. The Information Session provides a basic introduction of applicable DFCS policy to assist prospective caregivers in making an initial decision about becoming a foster or adoptive parent. Subsequently, you can determine whether to continue the process or select out. The Information Session may be completed within a scheduled group setting or individually with families unable to participate in the group process. Information Sessions are offered virtually or in-person.
