Waiting List

When starting the adoption process, you will be asked to share your preferences on age, race, ethnicity, and overall health. Based on the preferences made by your family, there may not be a child immediately available. When this occurs, your family is placed on the waiting list. While on the waiting list, families can become pre-approved for adoption. Pre-approval allows for the adoption process to move faster once a child has become available for your family. NOTE: Because the waiting list is determined by a family’s preferences and when a child becomes available, there is no exact time frame for how long a family will spend on the waiting list.

Common Wait List Preferences:
– A child within the age range of birth to 5 years old.
– A child with no physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.
