May 6, 2019Juvenile delinquent offenses are those which would be considered crimes if committed by an adult. Georgia law provides for the specific offenses that constitute a delinquent act by a juvenile, and provides for the possible consequences (disposition) to a juvenile adjudicated as a delinquent. The goal of the juvenile system nationwide is to rehabilitate, not punish. That being said, juveniles can be detained for certain, specific reasons. The trainer will focus on helping parents increase empathy and tolerance for everyday behaviors as they develop coping strategies to help children manage their trauma and loss.
