Connected Caregiver Training - Albany, Georgia
Georgia’s Personal Responsibility Education Program (GA-PREP) is pleased to host a series of 2-day trainings designed to help adults become “Connected Caregivers”. These trainings have been designed specifically for foster parents, CCI and CPA caregivers, and case managers. Through funding from the DHS/DFCS PREP program, these trainings are being offered for FREE for the first 50 registrants.
Registration includes two full days of training and participants are required to attend both days:
Day 1: Talking to Teens About Sex & Healthy Relationships
Day 2: Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)/Beyond Cultural Competency: Working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning (LGBTQ) Youth in the Sex Education Environment
Let's Talk about Anger - Webinar
This interactive 1-hour webinar will help foster parents explore their own anger, their foster child, and others anger. Several research studies have demonstrated that individuals can learn anger-management skills and apply them constructively to the problems that arise in their lives. Foster parents will be introduced to techniques for effectively expressing and constructively handling anger. Parents will gain a deeper understanding of how anger affects all area of individual's lives. Controlling ones anger is a lifelong challenge so let's talk about it.....
