Special needs refers to a child with specific educational requirements due to learning difficulties, physical disabilities, emotional and or behavioral.  According to researchers, children in foster care with special needs are more likely to be mistreated, have a poorer educational experience, get poor grades, score lower on standardized tests, not receive appropriate medical attention, have higher school suspensions, less likely to enroll in college and more likely to take psychotropic drugs.  The question is why.  This webinar will give foster parents tips and techniques on how to care for a child with special needs.
