This presentation will explore both the biological and psychological impacts of menstruation in teens. The onset of menstruation can be a challenging event for both children and caregivers. However, when handled sensitively, menstruation represents a positive opportunity for young females to learn more about their bodies and how to take care of them. This training will address ways to communicate with children and teens about menstruation and will emphasize helpful strategies to support teens as they navigate this developmental milestone.
