Conflict Resolution is a taught skill where two or more people are able to reach a peaceful resolution to a dispute. With that being said, conflicts are inevitable but how a person resolves conflict is optional. Conflict resolution is a learned skill and must be practiced in order to master it. This webinar will teach parents how to resolve conflict and instill positive emotional intelligence in their child. Parents will be able to teach their child how to listen to others, communicate, be a critical thinker and find their own solutions to conflicts. Learning the art of conflict resolution will be the key that unlocks a child’s ability too effectively process and express their feelings and confidently state their needs which is a skill that they can use throughout their entire life.
Part III: Recognizing and Responding to Triggers and Stressors for each personality type.
Everyone gets stressed and can be triggered where we react less than ideally, especially those people, such as foster children, who have endured high levels of trauma. In this session we will discuss different situations that tend to trigger and stress out each personality types and how their friends, family, and others can respond to help them reset quicker.
Participants will given information on the following: terminology, myths and facts about trafficking, different types of trafficking, tips on recognizing risk factors, signs and indicators of trafficking, dangers of social media, and who to contact if you suspect someone is involved. This training will be conducted by Lifehouse for Life, a non-profited committed to fighting human trafficking.
